Blueberry Pandowdy 🫐

Hi Reader,

I posted a fun and old-fashioned recipe: Blueberry Pandowdy!

Fun fact about me: I’m subscribed to a daily “History Facts” email, and that’s actually how I discovered pandowdy a few months ago! As soon as I read about this old-fashioned dessert, I knew I wanted to make my own version. 😊

After a few rounds of testing, it’s finally ready! I wanted to stay true to the traditional creation by keeping the ingredients simple and making sure the “dowdy” was done the traditional way. Although pandowdies were usually made with apples, my version uses frozen blueberries because I love how easy they are to work with (I definitely plan to post an apple version this fall, though!). I also homemade a pie crust and swapped the traditional brown sugar for coconut sugar. It’s rustic, cozy, perfectly messy, and absolutely delicious with a scoop of homemade ice cream. I hope you love it as much as I do!

Healthy Ice Cream with Maple Syrup

This Healthy Ice Cream with Maple Syrup is rich, creamy, and naturally sweetened with pure maple syrup instead of refined sugar. Made with grass-fed cream, whole milk, egg yolks, and vanilla, this homemade ice cream has an irresistibly smooth texture and a delicious maple flavor.

One Pan Taco Bake

This meal is made in a single pan with simple ingredients and less than 45 minutes! It’s hearty, flavorful, filling, and nourishing. It’s a fantastic meal-prep for busy weeks, perfect for family dinner, and a crowd-pleasing hosting meal. Just serve it with some fresh avocado, salsa, sour cream, and/or chips and you are all set.

I hope you love these recipes! Be sure to let me know how they turn out in the comment section of the posts! :)

Have a wonderful weekend,

Christine Manes
